![]() Besides, would you prefer to only play on Ocean? ![]() Hope that explains what I meant, sorry for potentially getting off-topic.Īnd yet the maps used are 95% land. They just can't seem to get away from the WOT thing of hiding behind stuff, which is why we have campers. While MG42's may not have been invented yet, much of the Russian vs German confrontations were similar examples of a force with vastly greater numbers fighting against a smaller, yet far better equipped and organized one. Moments like that can define a game, and since so little has been done in the way of the WWI FPS genre, Battlefield 1 could be the perfect place for it. I was more hoping to see such examples of fighting against seemingly insurmountable odds during the single player campaign, preferably from both the German and Russian perspectives. Oh, of course such a scenario would never work in a competitive PvP environment. Imagine going 9 kill-less games of WoT between kills. I saw a guy once with a sub-.100 kill-death ratio, I kid you not. I mean, when I was playing WoT, we used to wonder at guys with sub-.500 kill-death ratios. In a game, that's called "boring and unrewarding". That means there are 9 Russians who are dying without killing anything. IF the Germans are to have a chance, they need to kill 10 Russians for every German death. German players are all "No problem, me and my mg42 will handle this". Let's say we have a scenario from Operation Bagration where the Germans are getting stomped.
